Describe and analyze a puzzle, problem and mess…?

puzzle

a puzzle is a well structured problem which is tricky and has a solution which can worked in a systematic way in particular steps to reach it. you can apply various patterns to achieve goal in this but can only possible in one-way. puzzles are always fixed so, these things are solved.

example- i am doing a course named cloud services in which i can relate my software installations into puzzle in which they are in certain steps to be followed and by not doing it we get errors and cannot be solved or installed.

problem

problem are not easy to solve because they do have structure but they don’t have any common goals , they can’t be predicted and they are not easy to solve. problems goals are un-predicted even though we can negotiate and find a solution which majority of the people agree. to make a solution for a problem we can go through various parameters but you can not find it quickly, it takes time and research to do that.

example- you are doing a project and you got to know there is a problem occurred and you are going to solve the issue by intimating to your client and researching about the problem and solving it by best method possible and this solves only part of client goals in project.

mess

basically mess is set of problems which have problems! in this we cant even define a problem and what are the goals. mess can look like a problem but it actually a mess. it can be solved but as of problem it can be having various outcomes and in some cases it is very hard find solutions which can be agreed. once you find a mess first you have to try and make that into problem if not the project is lost even before started. if you can find set of agreeable solutions to the project it has hope to be completed.

example- “my room is messy” this statement is very simple but in this there is defining of problem. there are no requirements for stating the solution.
